Leading paint manufacturer, Dulux Trade, has announced a new partnership with London-based design resource studio, Material Lab.

The collaboration will see Dulux Trade supply the studio with a number of resources, such as paint samples and literature, to support colour and coating specification. Through greater access to a variety of products, visitors will be able to see how colours work with other materials, and have the opportunity to discover the latest shades and trends.

Joanne McMullen, Colour Services Activation Manager at Dulux Trade, explains: “Selecting and specifying colours can be complex. While viewing information online can give architects and designers an idea of how colours may work in projects, access to physical samples and resources helps to bring these tones to life.

“Material Lab is a hub of expertise and innovation, giving people the opportunity to browse samples and product literature in a creative environment. We understand the importance of getting the right match between shades and surface coverings, so by adding our resources into the mix, visitors can see the impact of teaming colours with different materials.”

Formed in 2006, Material Lab is a free hub for architects and interior designers to explore, and feel inspired by, a range of supplies. As well as a Material Specifier Wall, which displays more than 650 resources, including glass, wood and fabrics, the studio features a workshop area for designers to create visual boards using samples.
